Coming of a road sweep of previously unbeaten Ontario, the Rampage head a couple hours south to San Diego to take on the Gulls for the first time this season. The Rampage (5-0-1) currently sit atop the AHL with a .917 points percentage. The game will feature rookies Nick Ritchie and Mikko Rantanen, both selected 10th overall in consecutive drafts. Both players have made immediate impacts at the AHL level.

The Gulls boast the league’s top power play unit and have converted on one-third of their opportunities on home ice. They are in the lower half of the league on the penalty kill at home, however, so the Rampage and their top five power play could take advantage. It may prove a little more difficult tonight, though, as top scorer Ben Street was called up to Colorado to replace an ailing John Mitchell.

The Rampage will return home this weekend for their first “three-in-three” of the 2015-2016 season. The Chicago Wolves come to town for games on Friday and Sunday sandwiched around another trip up to Cedar Park to take on the Stars. As usual, all action can be heard on Ticket 760 with Dan Weiss on the mic.
